Abstract:

Fusarium spp. have emerged as major opportunistic fungal agents. Since new antifungal agents exhibit variable activity against Fusarium isolates depending on the species, rapid identification at the species level is required. Conventional culture methods are difficult, fastidious, and sometimes inconclusive.
