Dr. Isabelle Thomas PhD
Responsible of the National Influenza Centre and responsible of the Unit Respiratory Viruses
Isabelle Thomas joined WIV-ISP’s Viral Diseases department in September 1990 with a strong background in virology and molecular biology. Before joining the institute from 1984 to 1989, she worked as a virology assistant at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. She also worked from 1989 to 1990 as an assistant for one IRSIA project at CODA-CERVA. Isabelle Thomas is doctor in Veterinary Medicine and has a PhD in Veterinary Science from the University of Liège. Since 2007, she is responsible for the National Influenza Center.
