What are the conditions for applying?
- Student in the final year of a vocational bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree OR registered with an employment placement organisation
- Traineeship in the context of studies/professional integration AND insurance cover by the teaching establishment/employment placement body
- Traineeship period of at least three months
- We do not accept volunteer or paid trainees
Thesis/Dissertations
It is also possible to complete a thesis/dissertation in collaboration with the researchers of Sciensano. If thesis/dissertations projects are available, they can be found on our website. You may also suggest projects related to our activities. Visit our website to get a precise idea of the subjects studied at Sciensano.

What are the conditions for applying?
- Student in the last year of a master’s degree OR in the framework of a doctoral project
How to apply for a traineeship/dissertation project?
Send your CV and a letter of motivation to Personnel & Organisation (jobs@wiv-isp.be), detailing the chosen field and the duration (of the traineeships). Specify the following in the ‘object’ field of your e-mail: “Traineeship/dissertation + Surname + First Name”. The Personnel & Organisation Department will forward your request to the relevant scientific service. If the latter is interested, a person in charge will contact you directly to make an appointment.
