Developing new sources of organic Se has potential benefit for animal production and human nutrition via animal-based foods enriched in Se. The objectives of this trial were to compare L-selenomethionine with another organic Se source, Se-enriched yeast (SelPlex 2300), and sodium selenite, an inorganic Se source, against a commercial control diet.
