Dr. Dirk Stubbe PhD
I am currently curator of the BCCM/IHEM fungi collection: human and animal health.
As a curator, I am responsible for acquisition, preservation and distribution of fungal strains. We aim to provide pure and correctly identified fungal strains to the broad scientific community. We also provide services like identifications and mycology trainings.
I joined the service of Mycology and Aerobiology in 2010 (at the time within the Institute of Public Health).
My PhD focussed on fungal taxonomy and was obtained at Ghent University: “Systematics and phylogeny of Lactarius subgenus Plinthogalus sensu lato”.
I have a masters degree in Biology and in Agricultural Engineering.
