Level of compliance with the accessibility standard
Our website does not meet all the accessibility requirements as described in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 level AA. Non-compliances are listed below.
Preparation of this statement
An external accessibility audit was conducted. This audit was a simplified analysis. The simplified audit report can be consulted at: https://scan.accessibility.belgium.be/fr/report/2023/www.sciensano.be/nl (available in Dutch, French and German).
Non-accessible content
A number of accessibility issues were identified regarding layout, navigation, colour contrasts, documents and page layout, for example:
- A number of decorative images are not correctly marked as decorative.
- Not all links have a link title describing the purpose of the link for anchor elements.
- There is no link at the top of each web page leading to the main part of the content.
- Some headings are used incorrectly.
- Colour contrast is insufficient in some places.
More details can be found in the report indicated above.
