Abstract:

During inflammatory reactions, endogenously produced cytokines and chemokines act in a network and interact with hormones and neurotransmitters to regulate host immune responses. These signaling circuitries are even more interfaced during infections, when microbial agonists activate TLR, RLR, and NLR receptors.
