OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this study was to compare the efficiency of mould identification of two matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) systems — Vitek MS (VMS) and Microflex LT (MLT) — and the MSI application.
