Karine Soetaert MSc

After a master’s degree in Physical Sciences (1993), Karine Soetaert obtained a Master in Molecular Biology (1997).
In 1997 she joined Scientific Institute of Public Health as scientist in the Enzymology and Mycobacteria Unit. She worked mainly on the purification and characterization of proteins.
In 2010 she joined the National Reference Center or Tuberculosis.
She is involved in the genotyping of M.Tuberculosis and participates in research projects mainly working on the molecular mechanisms of resistance to anti-tuberculosis drugs.
