Dr. Tom Van Nieuwenhuysen PhD

Scientist

Tom obtained his degree as master in Biochemistry and Biotechnology in 2010 and obtained his PhD in Biochemistry and Biotechnology in 2017 at the University of Ghent. Since oktober 2017, Tom is working for Sciensano in the scientific directorate of Human Infectious Diseases, service Foodborne Pathogens, as scientific responsible for the Clostridium lab (including the National Reference Centre for C. botulinum and C. perfringens, National Reference Laboratory for botulism and Reference Laboratory for C. tetani).
