Test description
Immuno rapid test on fecal samples.
Purpose of the test
- Detection of H. pylori antigens excreted in stool samples.
- Criteria for performing this test in the context of reference activities.
- Primary diagnosis of H. pylori infection or follow-up the effectiveness of eradication treatment.
Instructions for samples
Stool samples (min 1 cm³) in a dry container without additives and hermetically sealed.
Instructions for transport
Storage before shipping:
- Max 24 h at ambient temperature
- 72 h max at +4°C
- > 72 h (-20 to -80°C).
Unacceptable requests
- Sample unidentified
- Mandatory fields on the application form incomplete,
- Obvious storage or transport conditions not applied.
Turn around time (and frequency of analysis)
- Analyses are performed once a week.
- The result is sent the week following receipt.
Reporting of test results
A protocol is sent to the requesting laboratory by post.
