Scientist Unit illicit drugs
Els Plettinckx graduated in 2011 as criminologist at the university of Ghent. She started her carriere working at the European monitoring centre for drugs and drug addiction (EMCDDA) and works since 2012 at Sciensano. She works in the Unit Drugs which is part of the Health information service. Her work focusses on understanding the drug situation in Belgium and, as a member of the Reitox network of EMCDDA, also Europe.
