Heidi Demaegdt graduated in 2003 from the Free University of Brussels (VUB) as a Bio-engineer (Biotechnology). She completed her PhD in Applied Biological Sciences at the VUB in 2008. After a post-doc at the same university, she started in 2010 at CODA (the predecessor of Sciensano) as a scientist and worked on the in vitro effects of endocrine disruptors.
