Drug expert & coordinator Belgian Early Warning System on Drugs
Maarten Degreef graduated in 2022 from the University of Antwerp as Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences (with a focus on Forensic Toxicology and Analytical Chemistry). His basic education is in Biomedical Sciences (Clinical Scientific Research, University of Antwerp, Belgium, 2013), complemented with an MSc in Forensic Toxicology (University of Glasgow, United Kingdom, 2014).
As of December 2021, he is part of the Unit Drugs (department of Lifestyle and chronic diseases) at Sciensano, where he coordinates the Belgian Early Warning System on Drugs (BEWSD).
