Dr. Shona Cosgrove MD

Shona Cosgrove holds an MSc in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), as well as a degree in Medicine from Trinity College Dublin.
Shona joined Sciensano in 2021 and works as a project researcher in the EU Health Information Systems Unit and the Illicit Drugs Unit. She works on several projects, namely: DRUG-PREP (in which she is applying foresight methodologies to the drugs field) and BE-PIN (leading the work package to define the governance of a Belgian Pandemic Intelligence Network). Previous projects include EU-HIP, TEHDAS, HealthyCloud, and BY-COVID.
Before joining Sciensano, she worked in EU health policy and as a junior doctor in Ireland.
