Diagnosis

The use of a condom is essential to protect yourself and your partners against STDs. If you have any concerns, you should have an STD screening test. In the event of an infection, make sure you follow the correct treatment and inform your sexual partners.

How is Chlamydia diagnosed?

A sample is taken using a swab for women and by taking a urine sample for men.

A screening test can be carried out on an initial urine stream (first morning's urine, or after not having urinated for one hour prior to the test).
