Dr. Sarah Denayer PhD
Scientific collaborator Unit Respiratory viruses
Sarah Denayer started at Sciensano in 2008 as scientific collaborator in the Food Pathogens service. She was responsible for the Unit of Toxins and toxi-infections and the National Reference laboratories for coagulase positive staphylococci, pathogenic E. coli STEC and the reference laboratory on foodborne outbreaks. In 2020, she joined the unit Respiratory Viruses of the Viral Diseases service, which hosts the National Influenza Centre.
Sarah Denayer has a PhD in Applied Biological Sciences and is Master in bio-engineering, both obtained at the Free University of Brussels (VUB).
